| |
| |
It is the policy of FVSB to provide a secure working environment on board the FPSO / FSO by establishing and maintaining the required security measures and equipment to prevent the commission of unlawful acts against the FPSO / FSO.
| |
| |
The following objectives will support the Security Policy.
| |
- Establish procedures for shipboard operations to safeguard the security of the FPSO / FSO at sea, and during its interface with other ships.
| |
- Improve the security skills and awareness of FVSB personnel ashore and on board FPSO / FSO
| |
- Prepare contingency measures for emergencies arising out of security incidents.
| |
| |
In order to achieve these objectives, FVSB will;
| |
- Carry out a Security Assessment and prepare a Security Plan that is specific to each FPSO / FSO;
| |
- Carry out periodic reviews and internal audits on security procedures to determine continued relevance and to identify areas for improvement;
| |
- Establish a training program for FVSB personnel ashore and on board FPSO / FSO to increase security awareness and improve security skills; and
| |
- Establish a schedule of drills to be carried out on board and shore to exercise personnel in the actions to be taken in response to a security threat
| |
| |
In implementing these Security Policy requirements, FVSB is in compliance with the International ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code). ISPS code is implemented through chapter XI-2 Special measures to enhance maritime security in the International Convention for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
